Meet the Chiropractor

Dr. Jason Harkey is originally from Charlotte, NC.  He grew up knowing the effectiveness of chiropractic by seeing how it helped his Dad after a failed lower back surgery, how it helped himself through a lower back injury, and how it kept his brother playing football in high school.  Dr. Harkey and his brother both became chiropractors.  Chiropractic as a natural approach to health care, and the fact that it addresses the cause of many problems instead of masking the symptoms with medication, was what made chiropractic important to Dr. Harkey.

Dr. Harkey graduated from The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. in 1997.  He completed his doctorate degree at Life University in Marietta, GA.  He practiced in Charleston, SC after graduation in 2001.  There, he received valuable experience working in a group practice with 5 other chiropractors.  In 2004, Dr. Harkey started his own practice in Sumter.  He and his staff work hard to provide quality care to their patients. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Harkey likes to spend time with his family.  He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, and hiking.  Dr. Harkey and is wife Jennifer, are proud parents to two girls, Ava and Georgia.  He and his wife have a love for the lowcountry of SC and the beaches.
